Saturday, Nov 5 - Krabi - Island Hopping

Things didn’t start out so well today.  The excursion service was 45 minutes late picking us up…but apparently they were having trouble with all of their pickups.  However, we eventually climbed into our long-tail boat (so named because the propeller shaft sticks out about 10 or more feet back into the water)...

and headed off through a large bay with many islands...again a bit like Halong Bay without the crowds of boats.

We visited four islands…one for snorkeling, two for swimming...

and one for lunch and more swimming.

We saw a group with a couple getting married on the beach.  Such fun.

We lucked out with the weather.  The forecast was for rain but it was sunny and slightly cloudy all day with a few sprinkles after we got back to port.
