Thursday, Oct 13 - Phnom Penh

This morning we opted to cancel our trip to the Central Market.  The group decided we would visit again this evening.  So we are having a relaxing day in the lounge…reading, working on pictures and vegetating.

With the sun finally out it seemed a good time to get a picture of our boat.

We were supposed to see the Royal Palace and Silver Temple today, but the president of China was visiting, and the Palace was closed.  Instead we went to the National Museum...

that contained many interesting artifacts.

As usual, the drive through the streets revealed some interesting markets(in this case it was shrimp and live eels)...

and a truck stuffed with water bottles.

Then Paul, Tara, and the other Mary went to the Central Market, while Mary went back to the ship to rest.  This central market resided in a very large building with four wings.

It had less variety than some other markets we have seen, selling mostly clothes and accessories.
